Steps to connect to your office computer from off campus

  1. Go to https://appstore.unmc.edu/
  2. Put in your username (no @unmc.edu), hit NEXT
  3. Enter your password (same password you log into your computer with)
  4. Select “Apps” on the top menu
  5. Under the “Categories” drop down menu, select “Virtual Apps”
  6. Select “Remote Desktop Connection”
  7. It will ask you, “How do you want to launch Horizon?” – Select “Browser”
    In rare cases, using the browser does not work and loading the client is also an option IF that happens
  8. Select the “Launch” button
  9. It will push a DUO authentication to your phone
  10. To log into your computer, enter your computer name and then
  11. Enter your credentials using UNMC_DOMAIN\username as the ID
    and your current password
